Entry Requirements
Master of Philosophy (Food Studies)
Entry Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as recognised by the Malaysian or National government
    OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree not meeting the minimum CGPA of 2.75 but above CGPA of 2.5 recognised by Malaysian or National government can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment
    OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree recognised by Malaysian or National government but not meeting CGPA of 2.5 can be accepted subject to a minimum of ten years of working experience in a relevant field
    AND
  • English Language proficiencies in the following form of measurement: IELTS (6.5) or equivalent is required for candidates whose undergraduate degree was not fully taught in English.
Taylor’s MBA (Master of Business Administration)
Entry Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree with CGPA at least 2.5 and minimum 2 years working experience
    OR
  • All Bachelor’s degree with CGPA less than 2.5 and minimum 5 years working experience; or Bachelor’s degree with CGPA and above. 
    OR
  • Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) in accordance to Malaysian Qualification Agency requirement and 2 years managerial/supervisory experience
    OR
  • Other academic qualification that are equivalent to the above and recognized by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA)and the Malaysian Ministry of Education.

English Requirements
You must include supporting evidence of your English proficiency if your first language is not English, or if your undergraduate degree was not taught entirely in the English language. Your supporting evidence of English proficiency can be fulfilled in one of the following forms:
  • International English Language Test (IELTS)
    • overall band 6.5
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
    • iBT 88
  • Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
    • Band 5
Conditional offer is considered on case-by-case basis, subject to interview by the Programme Director/ Deputy Dean/ Dean of Taylor’s Business School
Master of Communication
Entry Requirements
  • Coursework Mode
    • A recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 2.50; or
    • All Bachelor's degree with a 2.00 ≤ CGPA < 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government, AND a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Mixed Mode
    • A recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA 2.75; or
    • A recognised Bachelor’s degree below CGPA 2.75 but above CGPA 2.50, can be accepted subject to undertaking a written communication assessment and passing two pre-requisite modules – Introduction to Mass Communication and Communication Theory; or
    • A recognised Bachelor’s degree below CGPA 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field.
    All other qualifications equivalent to the standard above would require Taylor’s University Senate approval.

The supporting evidence can be fulfilled in one of the following forms base on the approved English requirement by Taylor's University Senate.

  • TAYLOR'S IEN   Level 2-Grade B+

Master in Finance / Master in Management
Master in Finance

Entry Requirement:
  • A Bachelor degree in related field with a minimum CGPA 2.75.
    OR
  • A Bachelor degree in related field with CGPA below 2.75 but above 2.50 or its equivalent can be accepted, subject to a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in relevant field.

Master in Management

Entry Requirement:
  • All Bachelor's degree with a CGPA ≥ 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government
    OR
  • All Bachelor's degree with a 2.00 ≤ CGPA  < 2.50, recognized by the Malaysian Government or National Government, AND a minimum 5 years related work experience
    OR
  • Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) as approved by MoHE
    OR
  • Postgraduate Diploma Level 7 in same field recognised by Malaysian Government, with credit transfer or Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government

Master in International Hospitality Management
Entry Requirement
  • All Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government
    OR
  • Postgraduate Diploma Level 7 in same field recognised by Malaysian Government, with credit transfer
    OR
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government
    OR
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as approved by MoHE

Open Entry (RPL) Requirements
  • STPM/Diploma holder or equivalent
  • Aged 30 years and above
  • Acquires relevant work experience in related field and pass the Open University Malaysia placement test
Master of Teaching and Learning
Entry Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with min. CGPA 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government. Choice of specialisations must be approved by the School OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with CGPA between 2.00 to 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government AND a minimum 5 years related work experience OR
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • All eligible candidates are required to pass a selection interview for admission into programme
Master of Laws
Entry Requirement
  • Tier 1(a)-LLB or Bachelor of Syariah with CGPA 2.75 (out of 4.00) or other equivalent qualification which is
    approved by TU’s Senate
    OR
  • Tier 1(b) - LLB or Bachelor of Syariah with CGPA < 2.75 and > 2.50 (out of 4.00) or other equivalent
    qualification which is approved by TU’s Senate and subject to an interview
    OR
  • Tier 1(c)-LLB or Bachelor of Syariah with CGPA of _ 2.00 and _ 2.50 (out of 4.00) or other equivalent
    qualification which is approved by TU’s Senate with five (5) years of working experience
    OR
  • Tier 2(a)-Bachelor's degree with CGPA 2.75 (out of 4.00) and working experience in related field and
    obtain a Pass in Bridging module for candidates without law background
    OR
  • Tier 2(b)-Bachelor's degree with CGPA < 2.75 and > 2.50 (out of 4.00) and working experience in
    related field, subject to an interview and obtain a Pass in Bridging course for candidates without
    law background
    OR
  • Tier 2(c)-Bachelor's degree with _ 2.00 and _ 2.50 (out of 4.00) with five (5) years of working experience
    in a related field, subject to an interview and obtain a Pass in Bridging course for candidates without

  • Bachelor’s degree with min. CGPA 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government. Choice of specialisations must be approved by the School OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with CGPA between 2.00 to 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government AND a minimum 5 years related work experience OR
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • All eligible candidates are required to pass a selection interview for admission into programme

For Malaysian Applicants
  • Submit supporting documents
    • Certified true copies of Bachelor degree certificates and transcripts (attached English translation if transcripts are in a foreign language)
    • One (1) certified true copy of identity card (NRIC)
    • Two (2) passport size photographs
    • Curriculum vitae / resume
    • Employer testimonial / Letters of recommendation either from the current/former employer and/or from a faculty member who is able to evaluate the applicant's potential for success in the programme
    • Candidates who completed their degree in a language other than English may be required to submit evidence of English competency
    • Certified true copy of letter of scholarship/sponsorship (if applicable)
  • Payment of non-refundable Application fee of RM250 (payable by cheque, cash or credit card) for assessment. Bank details are stated in the Postgraduate Application Form.
 
For International Applicants
  • Submit supporting documents
    • Three (3) copies of academic certificates and transcripts (CERTIFIED TRUE COPY)
    • Three (3) copies of original passport including BLANK pages (CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES) and ensure passport has a minimum of fifteen (15) months validity
    • Six (6) passport-sized photographs with white background (3.5 cm (W) x 4.5 cm (H))
    • Curriculum vitae / resume
    • Candidates who completed their degree in a language other than English may be required to submit evidence of English competency
    • Employer testimonial / Letters of recommendation either from the current/former employer and/or from a faculty member who is able to evaluate the applicant's potential for success in the programme (if applicable)
    • Certified true copy of letter of scholarship/sponsorship (if applicable)
    • Certified true copy of letter of scholarship/sponsorship (if applicable)
    • Pre-Arrival Health Examination Report (optional)
  • Payment of non-refundable Application fee of RM250/USD88
  • Upon acceptance into the programme, payment of International Student Charge of RM2,625/USD700 (payable by telegraphic transfer or bank draft) will be required for visa processing.  Bank details are stated in the Postgraduate Application Form.

Visa application
Malaysian Immigration Department requires 6 - 8 working weeks to process student visa application. Taylor's International Office will assist international applicants in submitting the necessary application for student visa, upon approval of their application for admission into the Master's programme and issuance of Letter of Acceptance
