OVERVIEW

Taylor’s Graduate School is an academic school focusing primarily on postgraduate education through its administration of Masters, Postgraduate Certificate and Doctoral programmes. Its main emphasis is to function as a one-stop service center to address: postgraduate students’ enrolment and admission; administration and marketing of postgraduate programmes; coordination of student services with various departments within Taylor’s University.

On postgraduate students’ enrolment and admission, Taylor’s Graduate School administers the decision of the university admission committee and school postgraduate committee on matters such as credit transfer, deferment of studies and admission.

On administration of postgraduate programmes, Taylor’s Graduate School aims to formulate and execute policies that apply to postgraduate programmes taking into consideration: the nature of dual awards with partner universities; the internal and external financial obligations; national and international quality benchmarks; alignment with University quality statement and core values. The academic autonomy rests with the academic schools that provide academic content and curriculum delivery of the programmes.

Taylor’s Graduate School offers short-term courses on research methodology and philosophy of science as well as seminars on scientific research practices for enrichment purposes. These courses and seminars could be delivered by academic staff within the university or in collaboration with external academic members.

On coordination of student services, there would be coordination between TGS, career services, international student office, library and hostel services to ensure the awesome customer experience is felt by all postgraduate students.
