  • 2008-2013 Chairman of UNWTO Programme Committee comprising representatives from all regions of the world. The main task of the Programme Committee is to establish UNWTO global programmes.
  • 2007 Chairman for 17th Session of UNWTO General Assembly at Cartegena de Indias, Colombia. This General Assembly is held every 2 years and comprises representatives from 155 member countries, as well as associates and affiliates of UNWTO.
