A group of Taylor's University students enhanced their university-experience by participating in the "International Business" summer school programme that was held in Germany at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) in Karlsruhe. The eighteen Taylor’s University students were drawn from a number of different programmes at Taylor’s University, including business, hospitality and also biosciences. They spent two weeks of their semester break to learn about basics of international business, focusing on areas of global marketing strategies as well as entrepreneurship and internationalisation of business.
Dr. Veena Doshi, the Assoc. Dean Int'l (ADI) for the School of Engineering, accompanied the students while they were attending the summer programme. She commented that, "The programme provided not only a chance for students to learn about globalisation in business, but also provided opportunities for students to visit German companies such as Siemens, and also to learn about European culture". The students had the opportunity to visit scenic places such as the Black Forest, but also historic and thriving commercial cities such as Stuttgart, Munich and also to go further afield to Paris.
