Dr. Johnben Loy
Senior Adjunct Lecturer
 
Dr. Johnben Loy is a US-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Founding President of the Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Malaysia. Dr. Johnben holds a scientist-practitioner model of psychology where his research and practice specialises in the marital and family systems aspects of mental health. He also work with business and organisational leaders on personal and executive effectiveness, and consults with corporations on organisational change work.



Teresita Mortel Gutierrez
Programme Director and Senior Lecturer

Intrigued by the human mind, how it works and how this relates to behavior has spurred Teresita to pursue a career in Psychology that spans more than twenty five years of experience in the areas of Developmental Psychology, Psychodiagnostics, Individual and Group Therapy. Her experience as a Counselling Psychologist has provided her with competence and proficiency in helping clients discover the unknown aspects of themselves, thereby allowing them to have a clear perspective of who they are and what they want to be. Teresita brings her passion for Psychology to the classroom as she shares her knowledge, enhanced by her experience in the various field of Developmental Psychology, Psychotherapy and Group Facilitation.


Christine Maryanna Gabriel
Senior Lecturer


Christine Maryanna Gabriel is a Marriage and Family Therapist who is currently pursuing her US (Pensylvannia) License of Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a member of the International Family Therapy Association and the Assistant Secretary of the Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Malaysia (AMFTM). Christine is a firm believer of systems thinking which informs her decisions as a social justice advocate. She is passionate about developing a full-fledged Marriage and Family Therapy program in Malaysia through research evidence to serve the high need of mental health services and to break the stigma of mental health, with much emphasis on integration of theory and practice across cultures.


Pang Chia Yee
Lecturer

Pang Chia Yee has been in the field of psychology since 2002. Her research papers were presented at Atlantic Provinces of the Science (Canada) in 2005 and 2006. Ms. Pang received a Commonwealth Recognition Award in 2005. She was a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, United Kingdom. Ms. Pang brings a vibrant energy to her classes as she guides students to discover the different aspects of Psychology.


Chew Siew Wei
Lecturer


Chew Siew Wei graduated with qualifications in Master of Education (Educational Psychology) and Bachelor of Science (Cognitive Science). As an experienced educator of 12 years, she has a passion for researching the positive and negative psychological impacts in learning. With this, she has sharp acumen in identifying the technical and psychological barriers students face while learning and her goal is to enhance their educational journey and improve academic achievement. With her working experience in the education industry, she is equipped with relevant knowledge, problem solving and leadership skills. Her calm personality is also popular among students.


Rajalakshmi Ganesan
Lecturer

Rajalakshmi Ganesan is a dedicated professional with over five years of experience in the education industry. She holds a B.A (Hons) in Psychology with specialization in Educational Psychology (M.ed). She has also completed numerous certification in Online Teaching, Outcome Based Learning, Teaching and Learning with Buzan Mind Map Technique and Experiential Learning. She is also 'Train the Trainer (TTT)' certified. Rajalakshmi has a keen interest in research especially in the areas of Educational Psychology, Child Development Psychology and Positive Psychology. She has supervised research projects, participated in research projects and is published in ISI journals. With ingenious ideas and a passion to educate coupled with her expertise in psychology, she is an efficacious and effectual educator with the vision of empowering young minds
