Academic Staff Development Grant
The University offers grants for travel to educational conferences and stipends for academic staff development. These funds are available to promote research and scholarship in teaching and learning as well as to provide academic staff the opportunity to attend leading conferences on higher education and share information with their colleagues when they return to Taylor’s University.
e-Learning Grant
The University encourages staff to undertake e-Learning project or proof-of-concept (POC) activities related to the subject area of specialisation of the staff. Academic staff can apply for the Taylor’s e-Learning Innovation Grant Scheme (TeLIGS) to fund e-Learning initiatives at Taylor’s University in line with the e-Learning Strategic Plan 2011-2015.

e-Learning projects must be scholarly, original and innovative work in the development of teaching and learning. TeLIGS fund will be awarded for one principal project leader (both internal and external grants) within one semester. Nonetheless, the staff can be a co-leader in other TeLIGS projects. The total amount for e-Learning Steering Committee (eLSC) to approve for each project of the TeLIGS fund should not exceed RM30,000. The approval for any amount above RM30,000 is subject to the approval of eLSC.
