SHARING GOOD PRACTICE

To ensure good practices are scalable for a widespread audience, various seminars and conferences are organised to contribute to the transformational teaching and learning practices in higher education institutions.

(a) Taylor’s Teaching and Learning Conference (TTLC)
TTLC2013 aims to promote sharing of knowledge and experience, engagement and collaboration among educators, researchers and practitioners in transformative teaching and learning. During the conference, close to 200 people from 9 nations (i.e. Australia, Mauritius, South Africa, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Libya, Tanzania and Malaysia) participated and shared their experiences on Transformative Higher Education Teaching and Learning in Practice.

This year, TTLC2014 aims to promote sharing of knowledge and experience, engagement and collaboration among educators, researchers and practitioners in holistic education. The conference will emphasise teaching and learning approaches which integrate the whole human being – mind, heart and spirit -in higher education circles. More importantly, opportunities for collegiality and conversation about the complex challenges in bringing about a holistic education environment in higher education institutions will work towards fostering greater understanding and insights in avoiding the pitfalls that comes with rolling out holistic education.
