BizPod's Cobra's Pit Pitching Session 2020

Date: 4th June 2020 (Thursday)

BizPod is Taylor’s University’s in-house hybrid incubator-accelerator that provides a holistic, structured entrepreneurship training program that is built around a mentorship model. The Cobra’s Pit pitching session is part of BizPod's efforts to seek out new innovative business ideas from our pool of brilliant and talented students. Chosen teams have the chance to access the newly refurbished BizPod collaborative space, as well as be groomed and trained to pitch to investors.

Our first Cobra Pitch was held on May and October 2019  and we had a good mix of total 9 teams from the various Schools and Faculties in Taylor’s. All teams were screened and coached by our in-house coaches, Dr. Suet Nie from the School of Media and Communication, Nasrul and Shibu from the ”BizPod”. Overall, all teams presented enthusiastically and the ideas ranged from apps to salted egg restaurant to nutritious snack bar.

For year 2020, BizPod is inviting all students with a business idea to apply. We have limited it to pitches, so those interested may apply below by filling in the attached template pitch with their business ideas and submitting to by Friday the 1st of May.

Some notes on the pitch:

  • Selected teams are trained prior to the pitch, and are required to attend training sessions.

  • Time allocated is a maximum of 10 minutes presentation and 15 minutes Q&A, and we will have to strictly enforce this so we can emulate an actual investment pitch scenario with the angel investors.
