Taylor's Bizpod is back, with an all new name, logo and mission! After a Renaming Competition, thesetup has now been renamed "BizPod" as suggested and voted by the campus community. BizPod is a hybrid Incubator and Accelerator for Startups that provide a holistic, structured entrepreneurship training program from Ideation to Series A. The relaunch was officiated by the Minister of Entrepreneurial Development, Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Michael Driscoll. Also in attendance were Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chief Academic Offer, Professor Dr. Pradeep Nair and IDEAS Chairman, Tan Sri Dr. Rebecca Sta Maria.
In conjunction of the relaunch, Taylor's University hosted talks by successful entrepreneurs, Datuk Chevy Beh, Founder and CEO of BookDoc and Raja Jesrina Arshad, Founder and CEO of PurelyB. There was also a forum themed on "Growing Global Entrepreneurs", which gathered pre-seed investors investors Victor Chua, Founding and Managing Partner of Vynn Capital and Stephen Chan, Director of Asia Technology Ventures; seed investor Razif Abdul Aziz, Acting Group CEO of Cradle; Series A investor, Navvin Kumar, VP of DMY Capital; government agencies Johnathan Lee, Executive Director of MaGIC Academy and Norhizam Abdul Kadir, VP of Growth Ecosystem Development, MDEC.
It is the great desire of the University to have BizPod serve as a launchpad for producing globally competitive entrepreneurs of the future.
Innovfest Unbound is the anchor event of Smart Nation Innovations and is considered among Asia’s largest and most exciting innovation festivals.
