Challenges and Promises of Chinese Language Teaching

Date: 24 October, 2020 (Saturday)
Time: 2pm - 4pm

Event Poster: Download here

This event is sparked by the notion that teaching Chinese to learners of other languages has its own set of complexities, and is not akin to the complexity of teaching other more dominant languages we know like English etc. This event, featuring three panellists from diverse Chinese teaching backgrounds, will explore this issue in more depth and breadth so that it would provide a clearer picture of the “what” and “how” of teaching Chinese language.

PANELIST

Fong King Yap,
Lecturers, School of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Taylor's University

Tay Kok Jun,

Yeo Pueh Teng,

Dr Jasmine Jain,
Senior Lecturer, School of Education, Taylor's University
