Taylor’s L.I.V.E. Club bags Bronze Award at Kuala Lumpur International Choir Competition 2019

Taylor’s L.I.V.E. Club under the purview of Student Development, INTELLECT recently attended their 1st external competition and bagged the Bronze Award at the Kuala Lumpur International Choir Competition 2019 under the Open Category. The club which was established in 2016, sent a team of 25 students for their first external competition.

Tan Vern Yi, President of L.I.V.E. Club said, “We thought that the whole experience brought a new perspective to us as a first time choir in terms of passion and musicality. We will use this experience for the betterment of the team for future improvements.” She added that they were inspired to participate in a competition, as many of them are approaching their final year of university this year. “We wanted to participate in a competition and thus, put together a team to compete.”

When asked about preparation, she said they had practiced for only about 2 months. “Getting a bronze really was surprising and heart-warming. More importantly, we created a bond that is strengthened through the passion of music and every single member is an important asset on the team,” she quipped.

Join us in congratulating Taylor’s L.I.V.E. Club for their accomplishments! Taylor’s L.I.V.E. is also available for internal and external performances. If you’d like to engage them, please e-mail Mr Reuben at ReubenDeShen.Cheong@taylors.edu.my
