BACHELOR OF MASS COMMUNICATION (HONS) (ADVERTISING)

Students of the Taylor’s Advertising programme are taught to research, propose, plan and execute projects and campaigns strategically and are taught to use graphic designing and video editing software applications, such as In-Design, 3D Studio Max and Final Cut Pro.

Students will experience active engagement with the industry through the Professional Media Workshop module and work on real projects through the Advertising Campaign module. In addition, students will undergo a 10-12 week internship experience with advertising agencies, media agencies and marketing communication consultancies provide real life experience and understanding of the various job functions.

The programme also has a minor in Broadcasting and a dual award in which students will receive equal recognition and certification from both Taylor’s University and the University of the West of England (UWE), UK, with the option to transfer to UWE in the final year.

PREREQUISITES

SPM / O Level with Pre-U / Foundation

SPM / O Level or equivalent, 5 credits including English for entry with pre-university / foundation qualification.

SPM / O Level with Diploma

Pass SPM / O Level or equivalent, 3 credits including English for entry with Diploma qualification.

Candidates without a credit in English at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the STPM / Foundation / Diploma / Matriculation programme contains subjects in English that are equivalent or higher to English at SPM level.
