Taylor’s Hostel initiated the LaunchPad project in 2019 with the aim to end menstruation poverty among female refugees living in Malaysia. LaunchPad is the first project in Malaysia to tackle period poverty among refugees through reusable sanitary pads & menstrual hygiene education. Presently, some 170,000 refugees and asylum seekers reside in Malaysia of which 32% are women (60,000 women refugees).
The LaunchPad Project
We work with well-known NGOs to help residents lead community projects. This gives residents a chance to learn valuable life and leadership skills while helping their communities.
