Selection Criteria

  • Age of 25 years old and below
  • Aspire to pursue a career in the financial and banking industry
  • Applicants who are currently in their diploma/foundation/matriculation/pre-university programme or equivalent and are about to start their undergraduate degree
  • Applicant must not be a recipient of any other scholarship that comes with contractual obligations
  • Obtained a minimum of:
    • O-Level/SPM equivalent
      • Obtained a strong academic track record with a majority of 'A' grades in the recent SPM or IGCSE examination.
    • A-Level/Foundation/Diploma/Matriculation equivalent
      • 3As for STPM; or
      • 37 points for International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme
      • 3As for GCE A-Level Programme; or
      • CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 for Pre-university or Diploma or Foundation or Matriculation Programme; or
      • ATAR of 80 for AUSMAT/SACE

 

Fields of Study Offered

  • Business and marketing, economics, finance, sciences & engineering, social sciences and digital and data related courses. However, please note that all scholars are expected to return to CIMB to serve their bond upon completion of study. As such, applicants should foresee themselves building a career in the financial and banking industry.

Requirements

  • Malaysian IC holder.
  • Minimum 3As/CGPA 3.40 in STPM or equivalent (e.g. A-Levels, Matriculation, Foundation, Diploma, UEC).
  • Good command of English.
  • Strong leadership qualities through active participation in extra-curricular activities, community service and/or sports events.
  • Shows proof of financial need.
  • Willing to serve the Gamuda Group for a specified term upon graduation.
  • Non-recipient of other scholarship, loan or financial assistance.
  • Commencing or currently undergoing full-time first-degree programme.

Selection Criteria

  • Strong academic performance in recent major examinations (e.g., SPM, STPM, Diploma, or pre-university results).
  • For current university students: Consistent achievement across previous semesters or academic years.

 

Area of Study

  • Preference may be given to applicants pursuing fields aligned with Malaysia’s talent needs or HLF’s focus area (Education, Entrepreneurship, and Community Development).
  • Scholarships are also available for vocational, technical (TVET), or short courses that enhance employability and life skills.

  • Malaysian students to pursue full time undergraduate studies (1st Degree course) and who have gained admission into recognized Public and Private Universities in Malaysia.
