The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a movement that encourages those in their Golden Years to remain mentally, physically, and socially active, via offering a variety of events and activities in which they can participate or facilitate.

The Taylor’s U3A is a hub within the Active Ageing Impact Lab, where our mission is to  empower individuals to live independent, safe, and meaningful lives during their golden years. The Impact Lab strives to achieve this through Education, Research and Advocacy of critical matters for senior citizens, delivering impact locally and internationally with like-minded partners.

OUR OBJECTIVES

As Malaysia is heading to an aging society, more focus needs to be given to this age group for better wellbeing specifically for those in the Klang Valley.

The main purpose of Taylor’s U3A is to provide a conducive learning environment and opportunities for the elderlies aged 55 and above, to learn for leisure whilst enabling reskilling prospects for better life quality.

Based on Taylor’s U3A model, the learning mechanism is done in a two-way model, where the learning experience comes not only from the university, but the elderlies can also contribute back with their experience and expertise to the university as a whole. This ecosystem will then be a truly enriching process on both ends.
