The @MyPopelini Re-Branding Contest is created to help students think and project entrepreneurial ideas that could realistically be implemented in the actual business world. This will also prepare them with a great portfolio to showcase when they graduate and walk in confidently for their first job interview.

 

Participation in the contest will provide students with the much needed exposure of the startup world and its ingredients for success. Throughout the whole process of the contest, students will learn the ups and downs of creating, building and sustaining a profitable business. Regardless of failure or success, it will be a translation of the real world.

Study the current @MyPopelini Instagram Cream Puff brand’s business, products offering & marketing strategy. Answer the following questions:

  • Why do you think @MyPopelini needs a rebranding exercise?
  • Do you think @MyPopelini should start retail presence, and why?
  • What needs to be considered to transform an Instagram Cream Puff brand into a retail brand to optimise sales & grow it into a potential franchise business.

Note: Selected participants will be required to attend a client’s briefing with a Q&A session on Thursday, 12th November 2020

Date: Monday, 7th December 2020) – Feedback & elimination round

Step 1

Propose a new Brand Name, accompanied by new logo together with reasoning behind your choice & design a set of product packaging with consideration that it’s suitable for the retail purchase behaviour.

Step 2

Visualise these concept into a kiosk of 400sq ft space, look & feel adaptation of the brand logo, product placements, consumers journey from attraction to conversion, digital assets adaptation & staffs uniform.

  • Upon registration, students & Alumni will have to undergo three (3) rounds of qualifying & final presentations, which will be judged by panel of judges that comprises of the client & industry leaders.
  • Judges’ decision will be final.
  • By submitting an entry, each team member agrees to be bound by all the conditions set forth herein.
  • All participating teams, upon registering themselves, hereby permits BizPod and/or client (@MyPopelini) to keep, use, re-use, market and materialize all ideas, survey results, designs and marketing materials for current or future use, indefinitely.
