In this talk, she shared how to weave persuasive communication into storytelling to drive optimal marketing results. She pointed out that to promote your products as a young entrepreneur, it is necessary to tell an authentic story about your products to connect with people. She believed that stories brought people together regardless of race, nationalities, and culture.
Particularly, she claimed the rise of social media makes everyone a storyteller, an influencer. The influencer marketing arena was not limited only to celebrities anymore. Therefore, the traditional advertisement wasn’t the only option we had now. We should leverage this opportunity of influencer marketing to create connections and engagement with our consumers about the products using our ‘authentic stories’. However, there are a few things you should do to utilize this new marketing strategy:
Social Media: More Than Just Marketing
All in all, who knows the best about our products than ourselves? If you think your personality or story of your products is distinctive enough, then your chances of being tapped as an influencer was high and you will be able to market your own products with minimal costs.
Using social media in marketing does more than improve site traffic and increase your reach. It turns your business into a personality that your audience can communicate and connect with on a deeper level. Regardless of which platforms you use or how you use them, the most important thing to remember is that social media is not a platform to pitch your business. It’s a community for you to express your personality, demonstrate your values, share useful information, and build up those around you. With people naturally following you and promoting your content, there will be no need for pitching. And with this approach, you’ll achieve not just your business goals but all of the other intangibles that translate to gratification and fulfillment.
