OVERVIEW

 

BizPod offers a general course of Entrepreneurialism to all Taylor's University students that funnels into few main modules. These modules serve as a foundation, introducing students to both the theoretical and practical aspects of entrepreneurship.

 

The focus is on understanding the successful commercialisation of innovations, with a specific emphasize on the pivotal role played by innovator-entrepreneurs, particularly in the realm of science and technology-driven innovation. Within these modules, students engaged in selected projects will have the opportunity to progress into startup incubation with BizPod.

MODULES OVERVIEW STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Understanding Entrepreneurialism

This module fosters an entrepreneurial mindset by teaching students the core values of entrepreneurialism and encouraging behaviors like creativity, innovation, problem-solving, risk management, and resilience in facing challenges and failures.

Entrepreneurship & Small Business

This module introduces the principles and processes of entrepreneurship and small business management, catering to those interested in starting a business, acquiring one, or working in entrepreneurial industries.

Business Consulting

This module covers the business consultancy process, from relationship building and organizational diagnosis to implementation and review. Students develop process mapping, report writing, interpersonal, creative thinking, and communication skills.

Entrepreneurship Accelerator Project

EAP is a capstone module where students integrate their learnings, showcasing their knowledge and skills from past semesters. It offers a platform for experiential learning through projects, fostering professional and entrepreneurial competency while equipping students with lifelong skills for the workforce.

 

Ideating Startup

This module cultivates an entrepreneurial mindset, inspiring creativity, innovation, problem-solving, risk management, and resilience in overcoming challenges.

Design Thinking

This module explores innovation at the intersection of human, technology, and economy, using a human-centered design thinking approach to create tailored solutions for user needs.
