Step into the Halloween spirit with Duckie’s No Tricks, Just Treats Giveaway — a spooktacular campus celebration of Taylor’s love for good food and creativity!
This year, we’re calling on all Taylorians to share your favourite bites or exciting new food discoveries found right here on campus. Whether it’s a hidden café gem or a must-try dish from your go-to spot, now’s your chance to show it off.
The theme for this year’s giveaway is Food Reviews or New Food Discoveries on Campus. Post your review or discovery creatively, and you could win an exclusive Montigo cup — perfect for keeping your drinks cool or warm during those long study sessions.
This Halloween, there are no tricks — just treats for the most engaging and creative entries that capture the true flavour of Taylor’s campus life.
This Halloween, the treats come in style.
Stand a chance to win an exclusive Montigo cup featuring Duckie’s limited-edition Halloween design — crafted to keep your drinks perfectly warm or refreshingly cold, all while showing off your Taylor’s pride.
Joining is simple, and the sooner you start, the higher your chances of scoring Duckie’s exclusive Montigo cups!
Step 1: Create Your Post
Show us your foodie side by posting a food review or a new food discovery on campus. It could be your favourite drink spot, a hidden gem at SyopzMall, or the best comfort meal between classes.
Step 2: Post It on Your Favourite Platform
Upload your post on Instagram, TikTok, and/or XiaoHongShu (XHS) between 31 October and 14 November. Remember to:
Step 3: Stay Tuned for the Results
Winners will be announced after 14 November, so keep your notifications on!
The giveaway is open to all current Taylor’s University and Taylor’s College students with a valid student ID. You can participate individually — no group entries are required. Staff, alumni, or external participants are not eligible. This is a student-exclusive event designed to celebrate campus creativity and community spirit.
Not at all. This giveaway is all about creativity and authenticity. A post that stands out for its originality, humour, or thoughtful take on the theme and has the most engagements has a strong chance of catching Duckie’s eye. Think quality over quantity: a well-framed photo, a witty caption, or a genuine review can shine just as brightly as any high-production content.
Yes, you can! Each unique post counts as one entry per platform per tag. For example, if you post one video on TikTok and one photo on Instagram, both will be considered. Just make sure each post meets the theme — Food Reviews or New Food Discoveries on Campus — and follows the tagging and hashtag rules. Duplicate or identical posts across platforms won’t be counted twice.
To make sure your entry is valid:
Winners are chosen based on a balance of creativity, engagement, and theme relevance. The judging panel (including Duckie, of course) will review shortlisted entries after 14 November.
The winners will be announced during the week of 18 November 2025 on Taylor’s official social media pages. Winners will also be contacted directly through DM (based on their submission platform) for prize collection details. Make sure your DMs are open or your contact information in bio is visible.
Once announced, winners will receive instructions for prize collection. Prizes must be collected in person at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus between 1 Dec 2025 to 5 Dec 2025. Please bring your student ID and the winning post proof (screenshot or link) for verification. If you can’t collect it personally, you may authorise a friend, but they’ll need your written consent and ID copy.
If your post becomes inaccessible during the judging period, it may be disqualified automatically. Please keep your entry public until winners are announced to ensure your post is reviewed properly.
Minor edits such as fixing typos or improving captions are fine, but completely re-uploaded posts will count as new entries. To avoid confusion, try finalising your content before posting — it helps preserve engagement and ensures Duckie can track your original post accurately.
The judging team will look for authentic, original submissions. While it’s fine if posts share similar food spots, identical captions, visuals, or re-used content from others may lead to disqualification. Always ensure your post reflects your personal experience and creative touch.
By participating, you agree that Taylor’s University and Taylor’s College may feature, repost, or share your content on official platforms (with credit). This helps us celebrate your creativity and showcase the vibrant campus community.
