Orientation at Taylor's is your first step towards transitioning as a student into a campus life with rich experiences. To ensure that you are able to gain the most from your time here at Taylor's University, we have lined up a comprehensive and exciting orientation programme to help settle you in and to get you started with your life as a student.

 

The orientation is also supported by Taylor’s Orientation Leaders who are a team of senior students working collaboratively with the Student Development Hub to assist new students in their transition to university life.

As you embark on your academic journey with us, we want to ensure you’re fully equipped to communicate through our various platforms. The ‘Getting Connected’ guide will introduce you to the key platforms we use to keep you informed and engaged throughout your studies at Taylor’s.

Orientation at Taylor's offered a way to introduce a new class of students to the community that has made Taylor's University a unique destination for students from around the world. This multi-day series of events and programmes provides new students with an in-depth overview of how the University works.

Your Student ID card is an essential part of campus life at Taylor’s. It identifies you as a registered student and grants access to key facilities and services across campus. It is required for:

Printing and Photocopying Access

Unlock Print On Demand (P.O.D) services for your study and printing needs with your Student ID card.

Lab and Facility

Gain access to specific labs and restricted areas required for your programme using your Student ID card.

Exam Verification

Your Student ID is essential for identity verification during exams—don’t forget to bring it with you.

Campus Identification

Recognised as your official student identification, the card proves your student status while on campus.

To receive your Student ID card, submit a photo through the Taylor’s Orientation Portal.

  • Photo submissions are reviewed within one (1) week.
  • If your photo does not meet the required guidelines, you will be notified via email to resubmit.
  • Once approved, your card will be ready for collection at Campus Central (Block A, Level 2) within three (3) working days.

If your Student ID card is lost or stolen, please notify Campus Central immediately to prevent unauthorised access. The following fees apply for replacements:

 

  • First replacement: RM50
  • With police report (theft only): Fee waived
  • Subsequent replacements: RM100
  • Damaged or faded cards: Free replacement when you bring in the old card

 

All card replacements can be processed at Campus Central.

 

Note: If you find your old card after a new one has been issued, the old card will no longer be valid and must be discarded.

If you are progressing to a new level of study or changing programmes, you can either:

  • Retain your current photo, or
  • Submit a new photo via email (allow 1–2 weeks for processing)

This ensures your new Student ID card reflects your updated student status.
