Thinking of Coming Back to Taylor’s After a Break?

Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, and that is completely fine. Whether you paused your studies to focus on your health, family, finances, or simply needed time away, you can always find your way back. If you are ready to continue your previous programme or explore a new path, we are here to guide and support you throughout the process.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR READMISSION? HOW TO APPLY CONTACT US

You’re eligible to apply for readmission if any of the following applies to you:

You’re looking to join a different programme

You plan to enrol in a new programme in a future intake and have no outstanding fees or payments from your previous enrolment.

You want to return to the same programme

You wish to resume the programme you previously withdrew from, with at least one year having passed since you left. If your studies ended due to academic termination, your application will be reviewed and must be approved by your Programme Director or Head of School.

Note: You will not be able to proceed with your application if there are any unpaid balances from your previous enrolment. Please ensure all outstanding payments are cleared before applying.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

When applying for readmission, it is important to be clear, honest, and prepared. You will typically need to provide:

  • A formal re-admission request letter: This should explain why you left the university, what has changed, and why you feel ready to return. Be genuine as this helps us understand your journey.
  • Supporting documents (if applicable)

Depending on your reason for withdrawal, you may need to include:

  • Medical reports or certificates

  • Personal statements or justifications

  • Updated academic transcripts, especially if you have studied elsewhere since leaving Taylor’s

Your eligibility to apply and when you can do so — depends on your situation:

  • For a different programme:
You can apply at any time, as long as there are no outstanding payments from your previous enrolment. This gives you the flexibility to explore new pathways that better suit your current interests or career goals.
  • For the same programme:
You will be starting your studies as a new student, rather than continuing from where you left off. You will need to wait at least one full academic year from the date you left. This is to ensure there’s sufficient time for reflection and readiness. If you were terminated due to academic reasons, your application must go through an additional approval process by the School.

Applications are usually processed within three (3) working days once all documents have been submitted. If your application is successful, you’ll receive an Offer Letter via your personal email.

Readmission is not automatic. Every application is carefully reviewed based on:

  • Your past academic record
  • Reason for withdrawal
  • Programme availability and capacity

If you were terminated academically, you’ll need to show clear signs of readiness and improvement to be reconsidered. If you are rejoining after a long break, your programme might now follow a new curriculum or different entry requirements.

Credit transfer may be possible: If you previously passed certain subjects (with at least a C for undergraduate, or a B for postgraduate), you can apply for credit transfer — which could save you time and effort. Final approval rests with the School.
