At the heart of education at Taylor’s lies Taylor’sphere, an ecosystem that blends pedagogical practices to deliver education excellence and meaningful experiences. While education is instrumental in fostering innovation and growth, academic intelligence alone is not enough for a graduate to succeed.

Empowering Innovation Beyond Academics

Believing in excelling beyond education, the institution encourages students to explore their passion, collaborate with like-minded individuals and develop their skills beyond the classroom. One such student who embodies this vision is Kishendran Annamalai, a final year Bachelor of Computer Science student who founded TaskPhase – an AI time management application.

According to Kishendran, the idea behind the development of this application was to understand and simplify group assignment management, and the personal time of students effectively.

“As a student myself, I can relate to the challenges students face in juggling team projects, assignments, and personal commitments. This firsthand understanding fuels my conviction that TaskPhase is not just useful, but essential for any student seeking to balance their academic and personal life,” shared Kishendran.

In its initial stages of development, TaskPhase was mentored by Taylor's startup incubator, BizPod, which incorporates a startup collaborative culture. Here, students are mentored to deliver exciting consumer-facing digital innovations.

Transforming Student Experiences with Technology

“BizPod's workshops assisted in laying the groundwork for TaskPhase’s startup as I gained insightful knowledge on business skills like strategic planning and market analysis, identified the gaps in other products, and refined my business model. I also had the opportunity to tap into BizPod’s network of mentors and venture capitalists,” added Kishendran.

Today, TaskPhase has launched on the Google Play Store and engaged with potential users at over 10 roadshows. In addition to the mentorship provided at BizPod, TaskPhase was also involved in the Taylor’s Camp of Leaders mentorship programme – mentored by Lim Ben Jie, Head of Ecosystem & Partnerships at Move Digital (AirAsia).

“While new features are being developed to make student experiences even more intuitive and supportive, I believe there is potential in the technology and educational landscape to expand TaskPhase's reach into more educational institutions. These developments will undoubtedly broaden TaskPhase's impact and solidify its position among the best AI Time Management applications for students worldwide,” shared Kishendran.

Taylor’sphere is a comprehensive learning ecosystem that seamlessly integrates pedagogical methodologies with hands-on experiences to foster a holistic educational journey, empowering students to graduate with a clear sense of purpose.
