Beyond handling event logistics, students and lecturers played key roles in making the BCAA Nominations Event a resounding success—gaining invaluable real-world experience in the process.
From managing event production to overseeing stage logistics and liaising with industry professionals, students took ownership of key responsibilities that sharpened their organisational and leadership abilities. Theatre and music students also stepped up to provide technical support, managing lighting, sound, and audiovisual elements—skills that are essential in staging large-scale events.
More than just a behind-the-scenes experience, the event opened doors for meaningful industry networking. Students had the opportunity to connect with artists, producers, and arts leaders, expanding their professional circles and gaining insight into the inner workings of the performing arts scene. Many will also continue their involvement by supporting the main BOH Cameronian Arts Awards ceremony, further deepening their industry exposure.
This hands-on experience not only enriched their academic journey but also laid a strong foundation for future careers in the performing arts, creative production, and event management industries—equipping them with the confidence, skills, and connections to thrive.
