It helps to ease financial burdens in case of medical emergencies or accidental mishaps.
What’s Covered:
Medical expenses due to accidental injuries
Permanent disablement or death caused by accidents
Other compensation as outlined in the official insurance booklet
Your health matters. That’s why Taylor’s ensures all international students receive medical protection during their studies in Malaysia.
Why Is It Required?
Under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia guidelines, all international students must have valid Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance coverage throughout their studies.
Who Provides the Coverage?

What’s Included in the Medical Plan:
Once your Taylor’s Student Pass is approved, you will be automatically enrolled into the insurance plan. You will receive an email from the International Office approximately 1 to 2 months after obtaining your Student Pass, notifying you when and where to collect your card. Always carry your medical insurance card with you, especially when visiting hospitals or clinics. It is essential for identity verification and claim processing.
If your medical insurance card is lost or damaged, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. Complete the following form and contact the International Office for further instructions:

If you ever face a medical emergency, we want you to feel prepared and supported. This step-by-step guide walks you through the process of visiting a panel hospital — from arrival and verification to treatment and discharge. Follow these simple steps to ensure your care is smooth, timely, and worry-free.
Upon arrival at the Panel Hospital (PH), present your Medical Insurance Card or Passport Number at the admission counter for verification in the e-MAS© Sihatku system.
You will need to complete the Pre-Authorisation Form (PAF). The Panel Hospital will then submit the completed form to e-MAS© Sihatku via email or fax.
Once the Panel Hospital submits your completed PAF, e-MAS© Sihatku will review and validate the details. After verification and approval, an initial Guarantee Letter (GL) will be issued to the hospital if the treatment is covered under your insurance plan. If it is not covered, you will need to make the payment yourself.
You will proceed with your treatment and consultation as guided by the hospital’s medical team.
Upon discharge, a final Guarantee Letter (GL) will be issued to the hospital. Any non-payable items incurred during your stay will need to be settled by you.

The full list of panel clinics is available on the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) website. We encourage you to check the list before visiting to ensure the clinic is part of the panel.

It’s a good idea to review these lists in advance to confirm whether your chosen hospital is covered.
Under the TPIB Silver RM20K plan (EMGS200) by The Pacific Insurance Berhad, cashless facilities (beyond RM25 per visit) are available only at panel clinics for consultation services with a GP. Visiting a GP ensures your treatment is covered according to the policy benefits.
A General Practitioner (GP) clinic is run by a registered medical practitioner who provides primary care and family medicine services.
A Specialist Clinic focuses on specific health conditions, offering in-depth diagnosis or treatment for a particular part of the body or type of illness.
Yes, but you will need a referral from a GP. Specialist fees are typically only reimbursable if you are hospitalised and the visit is part of your treatment plan.
At a panel clinic, international students enjoy cashless facilities for outpatient treatment (beyond RM25 per visit; the first RM25 is borne by the student).
At a non-panel clinic, the medical bill is not covered by insurance, and you will need to pay the full amount yourself.
You will need to pay the consultation and treatment fees upfront. You can then submit a claim later (subject to the deductible per claim).
No. In Malaysia, GPs usually dispense medication directly after your consultation, so there is no need to visit a separate pharmacy.
Yes, here’s how the cashless panel clinic process works for The Pacific Insurance Berhad card holders (EMGS200 plan):
For any assistance or questions about the cashless process, you may contact the third-party administrator (E-Mas) at 03-9213 0104.
For students under the TPIB Silver RM20K plan (EMGS200) by The Pacific Insurance Berhad:
A personal deposit is an amount the hospital may require upon admission, in addition to the treatment deposit provided by the insurance company. This is to cover:
The personal deposit is usually refundable upon discharge, minus any outstanding excess or non-covered charges.
Non-covered items are expenses not included in your policy coverage. Examples include:
The amount varies depending on the hospital. It typically ranges from MYR 200 to MYR 500, but can be higher depending on the case and hospital policy.
Cashless admission means you do not need to pay the full hospital bill upfront at a panel hospital. The insurance company settles the eligible expenses directly with the hospital, while you only pay for any personal deposit, excess, or non-covered items.
