Established in March 2022 by the School of Accounting and Finance under Taylor's Business School, Taylor’s Centre for Accountancy Studies (TCAS) serves as a comprehensive hub for students pursuing a career in accounting. Our mission is to provide a seamless and enriching learning journey from undergraduate studies to professional qualifications, fostering lifelong and real-world learning experiences.
At TCAS, we recognise the value of a professional accounting qualification as a gateway to the dynamic world of accounting. We offer undergraduate students guidance and counselling on professional studies modules and collaborate closely with professional bodies to promote these programmes. This includes organising talks, workshops, and webinars on both technical and soft skills throughout the year.
Our partnerships extend to top accounting firms and prestigious corporations, ensuring our students have access to valuable internship and graduate placement opportunities. We are also committed to contributing to the training of more accountants in Malaysia and exposing our students to the latest developments in accounting and financial technology, preparing them for the digital working environment.
Advises students on study plans in terms of the papers selection that personalised to fit individual needs and academic goals, promoting effective study habits and time management.
Provide one-to-one consultations to support the students’ learning, offering targeted support, and enhancing academic performance.
Monitor student’s progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing timely interventions to keep students on track.
Each student is assigned a mentor who provides guidance, motivation, and support throughout their academic journey, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Organise sessions with students and alumni to offer valuable insights, experiences, and networking opportunities, aiming to enrich the student learning experience and career development.
