The fashion design technology degree is designed in a unique format where the programme is a combination of standard design and sewing curriculum injected with technological components in both learning experience and module contents.
The degree will provide extensive knowledge to students to use the latest technology in designing. Fashion design using the most recent technology advancements is clearly important in today's modern world. Students will become skilled fashion designers with fashion technological knowledge in the ever-evolving fashion world.

This programme works alongside KLFW, Malaysia's premier showcase of local designers and with professional industry practitioners in the fashion field. These industry collaborations allows us to provide students experience and explore collaborative study opportunities.
Students will study the fundamental processes of design theory and practice through problem- and studio-based learning. In experiencing the design thinking process, students will be able to analyse, evaluate, and put forward design solutions that are innovative and creative. The modules prescribed will provide the student with the necessary skills sets to conceptualise and create aesthetically sound outputs that are creative, functional, entertaining, engaging and communicable.
This degree programme is compatible with the new Taylor's Curriculum Framework that allows students to mix & match study modules.

This component aims to develop critical thinking, build up social intelligence and cultivate civic responsibility as well as broaden cultural knowledge. These consist of compulsory and nationally-mandated study modules required by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education.

The Complementary Studies component provides student the flexibility to study modules in a related or unrelated field from the same or different school to complement the Primary Major. It may be completed in a form of free electives, an extension, minors or a second major that typically requires at least one (1) semester of student learning time.
