Taylor's School of Medicine aims to become a centre of excellence for research and comprehensive medical & health care education. This is achieved by adopting an education philosophy that embraces the best of both traditional and modern teaching approaches.
With its conducive environment as well as thoughtfully designed and implemented programmes, the school is well-positioned to be recognised by global stakeholders in the higher education sector. These elements work together, producing professionals who are competent in the practice of holistic medicine, for the benefit of the patients, their family, and the society.
Taylor’s Clinical School (TCS) in Sungai Buloh gives students practical training and experience, critical in the well-rounded development of medical students as they transform from practitioners into healers. TCS collaborates with Hospital Sungai Buloh, the national referral centre for Infectious Diseases and Neurosurgery. Taylor's University's connection with the hospital will continue to enhance stronger connection between academia and clinical practice in the areas of learning & teaching, practice and research. This ultimately grooms highly skilled and knowledgeable medical doctors with a heart for healing the sick and the dedication to elevate the medical profession as a whole.
The Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences at Taylor’s University was recently endorsed as a “Training Center of Excellence (CoE)” by the Asia-Pacific Economic Committee (APEC) Life Sciences Innovation Forum (LSIF) for “Global Supply Chain Integrity”. The faculty is the first APEC CoE in Malaysia, and the third institution in the world to receive this endorsement from APEC-LSIF. The first two institutions are based in the United States (US).
