STUDENT FEEDBACK

Taylor’s University believes that students have a crucial role to play in the on-going evolution of higher education. Student feedback is an important component in the overall success of Taylor’s University programmes. Taylor's constantly seeks ways to improve the quality of services, thus feedback from students is encouraged and appreciated. Students can provide their feedback at any time using the Online Feedback Form.

Students will also be asked to feedback at the end of each semester for each module via module evaluation.

STUDENT SURVEY

Students have the opportunity to comment directly on their overall experience through the Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS). The survey obtains feedback on our level of service and highlights areas for improvement. Students can rest assured that their ratings and comments are confidential.

STUDENT-STAFF CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE

A Student-Staff Consultative Committee provides a formal channel for students to meet with administrative and academic staff formally in order to discuss the operation of programmes; to keep under review the aims and objectives of programmes; to review issues relating to teaching and learning and student support; and to consider all other matters including health and safety and resources such as equipment and library provisions.

A group of staff and students from each programme meet periodically to identify and discuss any academic or non-academic issues that are of interest or concern to students. Student representatives are nominated by the student body, and all student cohorts are represented. Staff representatives include a senior member of staff and other members of staff.

Various industry advisory panels are established by each school to provide a link with external representatives, with the following objectives:

  • To advise on the relevance of the curriculum to industry needs
  • To discuss any critical issues and challenges related to the discipline or education of the discipline
  • To facilitate industry attachments or placements to expose students to industry practices and to gain practical experience
  • To establish links that facilitate and enhance the employability of the graduates
  • To link the School to national and international industry or professional bodies
  • To establish links that may facilitate research collaboration

Taylor’s University has also established several committees/boards to review the quality and adequacy of its programmes, to ensure that the learning outcomes of every module are achieved, to review admissions, teaching, curricula, and grading and examinations within the programmes as well as to ensure that all programmes are relevant to industry needs. These include:

  • School Board of Examiners
  • Programme Review Committee
  • Industry Advisory Panel
