Online Module Registration (OMR) is the process where you select your modules for the upcoming semester through the Campus Central Portal. All active students — except new students, research-based postgraduate students, MBBS,  Online Postgraduate Programme (OPP), and Intensive English (IEN) students are required to complete this registration before the start of each new semester.

OMR usually takes place between Week 8 and Week 10 of the current semester. The exact dates will be announced beforehand, so be sure to check your Taylor's email, Campus Central Portal or Taylor's Mobile App regularly to avoid missing out.

Steps to Register
Important Notes

To be eligible for Online Module Registration (OMR), you must be an active student with valid access to the Campus Central Portal and no outstanding tuition fees. Please note that OMR is not applicable to new students, research-based postgraduate students, MBBS, Online Postgraduate Programme (OPP), and Intensive English (IEN) students.

You can access the OMR system by logging in to https://timetable.taylors.edu.my using your Student ID and email password. For the best experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop with the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. While the system is accessible via mobile devices, it is optimised for larger screens to avoid display issues.

The Online Module Registration period usually begins around Week 8 of the current semester and remains open until Week 10. This is when students register for modules for the upcoming semester. Announcements will be made in advance via your Taylor's email, Campus Central Portal and Taylor's Mobile App, so be sure to stay updated.

If you miss the OMR period, a Late Module Registration window will open roughly two (2) weeks after Tier 1 closes. A penalty fee of RM200 will be applied (subject to 6% SST for international students).

Here’s how to complete your Online Module Registration:

1

Log in to https://timetable.taylors.edu.my using your Student ID and email password.

2

At the top of the page, you’ll see your name, programme, intake, and current semester.

3

Click 'Show Details' to reveal your module categories.

4

For each category, click 'Show Details' again to view the list of available modules.

5

Tick the checkbox next to each module you wish to register for. Repeat this for each applicable category.

6

Once done, click 'Save Choices.'

7

You’ll then be prompted to 'Submit Your Choices' or go back to make changes. If ready, click 'Submit Your Choices.'

8

Confirm your selection by clicking 'Submit Choices' again.

9

You’ll receive a confirmation message: 'Congratulations, your choices have been submitted.' Log off to complete your session.

Note: If you try to save without completing all required selections, you’ll receive a prompt: 'You are not allowed to save invalid choices.' You must complete your selection before saving. Always remember to both save and submit your choices before logging out. Failing to do so will result in your selections being discarded. You can make changes at any time before the OMR deadline.

There are credit hour limits you must follow each semester:

  • Diploma and Degree programmes:

Long Semester (14 weeks)

Max 20 credit hours

Short Semester (7 weeks)

Max 10 credit hours

    • The minimum credit load should not be less than half of the maximum. Always plan your workload with graduation timelines in mind. Additionally, module selection may be affected by:

Pre-requisites

Modules that must be completed before another can be taken.

Co-requisites

Modules that must be taken alongside or before another module.

Anti-requisites

Modules with overlapping content that cannot be taken together.

Priority seating may apply for students in their final semester or those about to begin internships. However, this does not apply to Free Elective modules.

What to Do If The Module Is Full

What to Do If The Module Is Full

If a module is full (especially Minor or Free Electives), you’ll need to choose an alternative. If the module is required for graduation and you’re in your final semester, submit a request via the Enquiry Form on the Campus Central portal to the Timetabling Department.

What to Do If You Can’t Access The OMR Page

You may register during the Late Module Registration window, but this will incur a RM200 fee (plus 6% SST for international students).

Use the Module Add/Drop period to make changes, subject to availability.

What to Do If You’re Going on a Student Exchange Next Semester

What to Do If You’re Going on a Student Exchange Next Semester

You must still complete OMR based on your academic plan. Once your Student Exchange Learning Agreement (SELA) is finalised, the Global Mobility Office will help with module changes. This also applies to non-credit bearing exchange (where a deferment of studies application would be required).

What to Do If You’re Going on Internship Next Semester

What to Do If You’re Going on Internship Next Semester

It’s compulsory to register your internship through the OMR system as part of your study plan.

Late Module Registration (LMR) is a process designed for students who missed the official Online Module Registration (OMR) deadline. It allows you to register for your modules after the Tier 1 period has closed. LMR typically opens around two (2) weeks after the end of Tier 1. Be sure to check the Campus Central Portal or your Taylor’s email for the exact dates and announcements.

An administrative fee of RM200 will apply, with an additional 6% SST for international students. Payment must be made via Taylor’s Pay as part of the LMR form submission—other payment methods will not be accepted.

If you fail to complete both OMR and LMR, you will not be able to continue your studies in the upcoming semester and will need to defer.

Note: For international students, deferring your semester will require you to cancel your current student visa, return to your home country, and reapply for a new visa before resuming your studies at Taylor’s.

Once you’ve successfully registered your modules, we will generate your class timetable — this outlines when and where your lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions will take place throughout the semester. Our goal is to create a timetable that not only supports your academic progress but also considers your need for flexibility. While the scheduling is system-generated based on your module selections, every effort is made to ensure a balanced timetable that accommodates different learning styles and student needs.

How to View Your Timetable
Understanding Timetable Clashes

Your timetable will be published at least two (2) weeks before the semester begins, giving you time to plan your schedule and adjust any personal commitments. You can access your timetable via the Taylor’s Mobile App or the Campus Central Portal.

If you make changes to your modules during the Module Add/Drop period (Tier 2), the timetable will be updated to reflect your latest selections. Please allow up to 48 hours for the changes to be processed and displayed in the system.

A timetable clash occurs when two (2) or more scheduled sessions—such as lectures, tutorials, or practicals—overlap, making it impossible to attend all classes in full. Clashes commonly occur between common core modules and free electives, or between two (2) free electives. It is rare for two (2) common core modules to clash.

If a clash is detected in your timetable, the Timetabling Department will notify you via your Taylor’s email. When this happens, you have two options:

  • Drop one of the clashing modules and choose another that does not conflict with your schedule. You are encouraged to prioritise common core modules over free electives.
  • Request a forced clash, which allows you to remain enrolled in both modules despite the overlap. This requires prior approval from your Programme Director, and is only permitted when class attendance is not compulsory for one of the sessions (e.g. recorded lectures or repeated practicals).

It’s important to act promptly if a clash is identified to avoid disruption to your academic progress.

We understand that your study plans may shift — and that’s perfectly okay. At the start of each semester, there’s a dedicated window that allows you to make changes to your registered modules. Whether you’re adjusting your timetable, switching subjects, or realigning your study load, timing is crucial, as it can impact both your academic record and tuition fees.

MODULE ADD OR DROP
MODULE OR SUBJECT WITHDRAWAL
IMPORTANT TIMELINES

The Add/Drop period runs from one week before the semester begins until the end of Week 2. During this window, you can:

Add A New Module

(subject to availability and prerequisite completion)

Drop a Module

With no academic or financial penalty

Select or Change Your Tutorial or Practical Classes

(based on availability)

Note: The Online Module Registration (OMR) system is unavailable daily from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM due to scheduled maintenance. Please take note that if you missed doing the OMR Tier 1 and had not requested for manual module registration, you will not be able to login to the system. If this happens, please contact Campus Central via the General Enquiry Form here and we’ll get back to you within one (1) working day.

If you decide to remove a module after Week 2, this is considered a withdrawal, and it comes with important consequences:

  • The withdrawn module will appear on your transcript with a ‘WD’ or ‘F(W)’ grade
  • Tuition fees are non-refundable
  • A formal withdrawal request must be submitted and approved

We highly recommend consulting your Programme Advisor before proceeding, as a withdrawal may affect your academic progress and graduation timeline.

Once you had download and completed the form, please submit via this link: https://forms.office.com/r/8zBWz0RT1e. Withdrawal requests can only be submitted during the teaching weeks of the semester. Submissions after teaching weeks must be supported by valid documentation (e.g., medical or personal emergencies). Submissions after the Final Exams begin will not be accepted.

Withdrawal requests will be processed within five (5) working days, and the outcome will be sent to your Taylor’s email.
