On 13 June, Taylor’s Centre for Family Business (TCFB) collaborated with the Institute of Work, Organisation & Wellbeing at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, to host an immersive session on the LEGO®️ Serious Play®️ methodology. The workshop brought together family business owners and professionals to explore how metaphor-driven, hands-on dialogue can unlock new perspectives on communication, leadership, and decision-making within family enterprises.

Creativity as a Catalyst for Dialogue

The session was filled with energy, creativity, and deep reflection, as participants used LEGO®️ bricks to express ideas and emotions that are often difficult to articulate through traditional discussion. The response was overwhelmingly positive: participants gave an average satisfaction score of 7.6/10, with over 70% reporting valuable new insights. One participant shared, “It really helped stimulate creative thinking and foster team connection.”

This successful pilot affirms the powerful potential of LEGO®️ Serious Play®️ as an engaging facilitation tool to spark meaningful conversations and strengthen relationships in family business contexts and organisations.
