The Active Ageing Lab is dedicated to promoting a fulfilling and meaningful life for senior citizens in their golden years. We strive to research and implement innovative approaches that empower older adults to lead active, engaged, and meaningful lives, thereby contributing to their overall well-being and happiness. 

 

Our transdisciplinary approach involves research, education and practical collaboration with the School of Accounting and Finance & School of Management and Marketing under Taylor's Business SchoolSchool of Food Studies and GastronomySchool of Medicine, and School of Pharmacy.

ABOUT US

Active Ageing Impact Lab is a purpose-led lab dedicated to promoting a fulfilling and meaningful life for senior citizens in their golden years. The lab is focused on enhancing financial well-being, physical and mental well-being, access to care services, and promoting lifelong learning among the elderly. It aims to enable individuals to live an independent, safe, and secure life as they age.

 

  • Strengthen financial literacy in retirement and enhance awareness of advance care planning.
  • Address isolation and marginalisation of elderly, loss of confidence and independence arising from declines in mental and physical well-being.
  • Address the number and competency of caregivers, non-user-friendly access to services for the elderly.
  • Provide a safe and secure environment to offer lifelong learning programmes for the elderly.

Our transdisciplinary approach encompasses a blend of research, education, and hands-on collaboration. We actively engage with the expertise of the following schools to foster innovation and cross-disciplinary synergy:
