EMPOWERING FOR A BETTER WORLD

ABOUT US

Food Security and Nutrition Impact Lab champions year-round food access, sustainability, and safety for communities. We address the following challenges by empowering farmers, meeting diverse nutritional needs, bolstering resilience, reducing waste, and advocating for healthier consumption:

  • Ensure sufficient food all year round to end hunger in vulnerable communities.
  • Promote sustainable consumption habits by reducing wastage and demand for unhealthy food options.
  • Increase agricultural productivity and income levels particularly for rural farmers and small-scale food producers.
  • Promote sustainable practices in food production systems that maintain ecosystems and reduce environmental stress.
  • Address nutritional needs of children, pregnant and lactating women, elderly people and those with disease burden.
  • Strengthen national standards of food safety, food controls and capacity development.
