Liveable Urban Communities (LUC) Impact Lab is a transdisciplinary ecosystem with the vision to improve the quality of life of urban communities.

Our transdisciplinary approach involves research, education and practical collaboration with the School of Architecture, Building and Design, School of Computer Science, School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, School of Management and Marketing under Taylor's Business School, and School of Media and Communication.

ABOUT US

Liveable Urban Communities Impact Lab responds to the urgent need for sustained and transdisciplinary research through understanding of how socially, economically and environmentally sustainable urban areas are to improve urban life. It focuses on solutions to:

Promote and develop safe and affordable housing, and socially inclusive and accessible public spaces
Build urban resilience towards climate change
Promote environmentally sustainable and green urban and public spaces

Promote appreciation and protection of cultural heritage
Create vibrant and creative urban places
