The Master of Applied Computing online programme offers two dynamic specialisations: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Opting for the Artificial Intelligence specialisation allows you to delve into machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. Alternatively, the Data Science specialisation focuses on big data analytics, statistical modelling, and data visualisation.

In this programme, you will benefit from the expertise and strengths of our university, recognised for its excellence in Computer Science and Information Systems. We have a proven track record of producing graduates who are highly sought after by leading companies and organisations in the industry.

Fulfilling one of the requirements listed below:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
  2. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP; OR
  3. Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia must fulfil the requirement on item i or ii.
  4. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that equivalent to their working experience in Computing or related fields; OR A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to appropriate prerequisite courses

 

International Students

  • English Requirement: IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 60 (Internet Based Test) (May join IEN preparatory course and achieve the IELTS score)

  1. Students without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience are required to undergo and pass a bridging module.

The programme term is 8 weeks long, including 1 week of induction to be briefed on the module you are about to take, 6 learning weeks and 1 week for the preparation of the final assessment and a summary of the learning throughout the module.

Students are assessed through the completion of several assignments. A module commonly includes three assessments that can be completed at home and uploaded on the learning platform by the submission date.
