Empowering a Smarter, Safer, and More Connected World
The world is entering an era shaped by intelligent technologies. Artificial intelligence, pervasive computing, and autonomous systems are quickly transforming the way society functions, how industries develop, and how people interact with technology. According to the World Economic Forum, over 70% of the global GDP is expected to be digitised by 2027, signaling a future where innovation and intelligence drive every sector.
Recognising this significant shift, Taylor’s University established the Centre for Intelligent Innovations (CII) to position itself as a leader in interdisciplinary innovation. CII brings together researchers from various fields, including artificial intelligence, computing, engineering, data science, and cybersecurity, to explore how AI can be responsibly harnessed to develop sustainable, secure, and human-centered advancements.
Through its four research clusters: AI and Data Informatics, Smart Cybersecurity and Cyber Defense, Intelligent Robotics, and AI-Enabled Pervasive Networks, CII aims to enhance Malaysia’s position in the global innovation landscape. It acts as both a knowledge hub and an innovative catalyst, fostering a smarter, interconnected, and sustainable future.
