Part of Taylor's commitment to providing affordable, high-quality international education includes supporting alumni Shu-Wen Yeoh and Joe Hock Thor in their mission to make international schooling more accessible.
Taylor’s Education Group, a leader in Malaysia’s premium education sector, proudly announces a strategic investment in the Good International School (Good International Sdn Bhd), supporting its mission for affordable, high-quality international education. This investment represents Taylor’s desire to making quality education accessible to a broader range of students.
The Good International School was co-founded and led by wife-husband team of Ms Yeoh Shu Wen, Managing Director, and Mr Thor Joe Hock, both distinguished alumni of Taylor’s College, who share a commitment to making world-class education available at an affordable price point that is environmentally and socially sustainable. Their vision is brought to life in the newly launched Good International School campus at Quayside Tower, part of Gamuda Land’s growing TwentyFive7 Development, which provides an enriching learning environment tailored to meet the educational needs of modern families.
Dato’ Loy Teik Ngan, Chairman of Taylor’s Education Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership:
“We have been blessed with success in our premium and mid-priced offerings, and this investment is part of our broader goal to offer the Taylor’s education experience to a larger group of Malaysian families. By investing in the Good International School, we are not only proudly supporting an initiative led by two of our talented Taylor's College alumni but will also participate in fostering a new model of affordable international education that offers students the best of both worlds - quality and affordability. The Good International School’s commitment in the affordable sector of education resonates with our vision for making quality education more accessible."
Key Benefits of the Commitment Include:
Ms Yeoh Shu Wen, Managing Director of the Good International School, shared her thoughts on the partnership:
“Our mission has always been to ensure every child, regardless of their financial background, can access excellent international education. The investment from Taylor’s Education Group strengthens this mission and allows us to continue growing without compromising on quality. The backing of Taylor’s, along with access to their expertise and talent pipeline, will be transformative for our future.”
Mr Thor Joe Hock, Executive Director of the Good International School, added:
“We’ve always believed in balancing affordability with excellence in education that is environmentally and socially sustainable. This investment allows us to leverage Taylor’s Education Group’s vast resources and knowledge to achieve our goals. We’re very excited about the opportunity to not only provide a seamless and supported academic pathway for our students to Taylor’s College and Taylor’s University, but to also partner in identifying collaborative opportunities to support the local community by repurposing or regentrifying existing built environments.”
The Good International School’s brand-new campus at Gamuda Land’s Quayside Tower is an example of this commitment to meaningful community collaboration. Opened in August 2024, offering a blend of strong academics and carefully selected co-curricular activities, the strategic location provides families access to affordable international education within a 30-minute radius.
With this partnership, Taylor’s Education Group is once again leading the way in shaping the future of education in Malaysia.
