Emergency Contacts

Keep Campus Security's number saved in your phone: +603-5629 5214. Visit the Security Control Room at Block B, Level 1 for assistance anytime.

Security Escort Services

If you're walking alone at night or feel unsafe, you can request an escort between buildings, car parks, or hostels. Just call Security to arrange it.

Fire Safety and Evacuation

Fire alarms, extinguishers, and evacuation maps are located across campus. Learn your building’s emergency exits and follow staff instructions during drills or real emergencies.

Reporting Incidents

Witnessed theft, harassment, or something suspicious? Don’t stay silent—report immediately to Security or Student Welfare. Early reporting helps protect everyone.

Lost and Found

Lost something? Visit Campus Central or Security Control Room. Label your belongings to increase the chance of recovery.

Stay Alert

Whether on or off campus, stay aware of your surroundings—especially when using your phone. Avoid isolated areas and try not to wear headphones while walking.

Dealing with Harassment or Threats

If you feel unsafe or experience harassment, reach out to Campus Security or Student Welfare. Your report will be handled with care and confidentiality.

Protect Your Belongings

Don’t leave laptops, phones, or bags unattended. Use lockers if available, and keep valuables with you at all times

Medical Emergencies

For minor injuries or illness, visit the on-campus clinic or Sunway Medical Centre nearby. In serious cases, dial 999 for emergency services.

Avoid Dangerous Shortcuts

Don’t attempt to climb balconies, ledges, or windows—even if locked out. Call your accommodation or Campus Security for help. Your safety is worth more than taking risks.

Walk Smart

Use well-lit, familiar paths. Walk against traffic, keep your phone tucked away, and stay alert. Carry bags on the side away from the road.

Using E-hailing Services

Always check the driver’s name, photo, and plate number. Use safety features like trip sharing on Grab or inDrive to let friends track your ride.

Accommodation Safety

Choose places with secure entry points, good lighting, and functioning locks. Avoid displaying your personal details on room doors or shared boards.

Cultural and Legal Awareness

Respect local laws and customs. Public displays of affection, drug use, and political activism are sensitive issues in Malaysia. When in doubt, ask before acting.

Visa and Passport Safety

Store your travel documents in a secure place. If lost, report immediately to the International Office and local police. Always keep backup copies.

Know Your Support Contacts

Save the numbers for your embassy, International Office, and the Student Welfare Department. If you’re in a crisis, they can help—especially with translations and cultural guidance.
