Doctors with a Heart for Healing

While the healthcare industry and medical profession become increasingly profit-driven, we aspire to produce future doctors who are well-rounded with good professional values and the heart for patient care.

Professional values and ethical practice are woven into the very heart of our learning at School of Medicine (SOM), and strengthened through early clinical exposure and clinical training. The School organises regular outreach field trips and public health activities for urban and rural communities.

MEDICAL EDUCATION WITH A PURPOSE

Unique to studying medicine in Malaysia, our students are exposed to patients from different backgrounds, demographics, cultures and environments, giving them a better understanding of the community’s health and medical needs from the onset. During these practical sessions, students can interact with real patients, have first hand experience in diagnosing illnesses and prescribe medication.
