The future of education is no longer a distant conversation. It is unfolding in classrooms every day. As artificial intelligence reshapes how knowledge is created and accessed, student expectations continue to evolve, and new approaches to teaching emerge, educators are challenged not only to adapt, but to rethink what meaningful learning should look like.

Against this backdrop, the FutureEd Symposium 2026, the biennial flagship event of the School of Education at Taylor's University, brings together teachers, academics, school leaders and education practitioners from across Malaysia and the region to explore one of the most pressing questions facing education today: How do we preserve deep, purposeful learning in an ever-changing educational landscape?

Guided by this year's theme, 'The Future of Schooling: Rethinking Learning in Changing Educational Landscapes,' the symposium will examine how schools and universities can strengthen intellectual rigour, cultivate critical thinking, and foster resilient learners in an era defined by rapid technological change. Rather than focusing solely on emerging technologies, the conversations centre on the enduring principles of effective teaching and learning, and how these can be sustained and reimagined for the future.

Building on the success of previous editions, FutureEd Symposium continues to serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue, professional exchange and collaborative learning. By bringing together educators from international schools, higher education institutions and the wider education community, both within and beyond Taylor's Education Group, the symposium creates opportunities to share evidence-informed practices, challenge conventional thinking and shape the future of schooling together.
