'Why are You Here?' is a play drawn from the tensions shaping our world today, created collectively by 7 Final Year Students of Taylor’s Performing Arts Programme. In 2030 crisis-stricken Malaysia, major resources have run scarce and fuel supplies have reached a critical low.

A family of four are forced to leave their home with no destination in sight, while their only hope lies in the last intermittent bus out of the city. As they wait at a lonely bus stop, a beggar lingers in the shadows, overlooking the family as they uncover unresolved conflict, resentment and the flaws within each other. Peeling back the layers of their past, they’re challenged to make a pivotal decision:

Either hold on to their past, or repair what they’ve broken.
