Taylor's Clinical School

Taylor’s Clinical School is located at SqWhere, Sungai Buloh, serving as a dedicated academic base for Taylor’s School of Medicine during the clinical phase (Years 3 to 5) of the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme. The six-floor facility provides expanded space and greater capacity to accommodate approximately 450 students, supporting clinical teaching, learning and assessment activities.

Located near Hospital Sungai Buloh, Taylor’s Clinical School enables students to undertake their clinical postings at the hospital, gaining hands-on exposure to real clinical environments across various medical disciplines. The facility therefore serves as an academic hub, complementing hospital-based training throughout the clinical years of the programme.

Clinical Skills Suite (Level 15)

A realistic environment for hands-on training, with manikins, simulation facilities and advanced medical equipment. The suite takes in a simulation room, debriefing areas, control rooms and clinical skills rooms for practising essential clinical competencies.

OSCE and Examination Spaces (Level 16)

Expandable spaces mirroring the clinical skills rooms on Level 15, used for OSCE, long-case and short-case assessments in the Final Professional Examination II. Nurse call systems simulate a hospital ward, and a central control system runs every session.

Auditorium and Seminar Rooms (Level 17)

The main auditorium and examination hall seats up to 120, for whole-cohort teaching, examinations and ceremonies such as the white coat ceremony. Two adjacent seminar rooms seat 50 each.

Medical Library (Level 13A)

A quiet, well-resourced library holding medical and clinical textbooks, references and digital databases. Individual study carrels, computer terminals, printing and borrowing services, and three discussion rooms for group work.

Symposium (Level 13)

A collaborative learning space of 72 cubicles arranged into 12 islands of six, built for research activity and independent study.

Student Recreational Space (Level 13)

A student pantry and recreation area, planned with student representatives, with room for up to 50 people. Alongside it are four small workspaces for supervision, mentoring and counselling.

GETTING HERE

Taylor’s Clinical School

Level 12, SQWhere Cube Office Block, Dataran Prestij SqWhere, Jalan Sungai Buloh, Seksyen U19, 40160 Shah Alam, Selangor.

Kampung Selamat MRT station is right beside the building, and Hospital Sungai Buloh is about 3.5 km away. Reception is on Level 12, and teaching spaces run from Level 12 up to Level 17.

Clinical training takes place in working hospitals, alongside practising clinicians. Hospital Sungai Buloh has been our principal teaching hospital since clinical training began in 2012. It is about 3.5 km from the Clinical School, and specialists from the hospital teach here every week as adjunct staff and take part in clinical examinations.

Students also train across a wider network of Ministry of Health and partner facilities, including several health clinics.

Taylor’s University School of Medicine is established.
December 2010

The MBBS programme is approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
2012

Hospital Sungai Buloh provides Ward 9D as our first clinical campus, placing students where patient care happens every day.
2014

Dataran Villa Putra, Sungai Buloh, is secured as the clinical school’s first dedicated premises.
May 2015

The MBBS programme is granted full accreditation.
July 2015

Dataran Villa Putra opens with 13 learning spaces, including an examination hall, a clinical skills suite and a library.
August 2015

Our first 17 MBBS students graduate.
November 2019

The clinical school moves to Lightbox @ LightGrey, about 1 km from Hospital Sungai Buloh.
21 January 2020

Taylor’s Clinical School is officially launched by Professor Dr Pradeep Nair, Deputy Vice Chancellor, and Dr Kuldip Kaur, Director of Hospital Sungai Buloh. Capacity grows from about 200 to 350.
2020 to 2023

Around 10 to 12 Hospital Sungai Buloh consultants teach at the clinical school each week.
2024

Teaching moves temporarily to Lakeside Campus and into the hospitals while new premises are found, and major examinations go ahead as planned.
July to October 2024

The Cube at SqWhere, Sungai Buloh, is chosen as our new home, with layouts shaped by staff and students.
2025

Six floors at The Cube are fitted out, including a new hybrid meeting system.
October 2025

The MBBS programme is re-accredited.

Taylor’s Clinical School opens at The Cube, SqWhere, Sungai Buloh.
