Dr Ambikai S Thuraisingam

Dr Ambikai S Thuraisingam

Programme Director, Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB)

 

Dr Ambikai is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with a PhD in Law from UPM. She teaches Criminal Law and Healthcare Law, and delivers Medical Ethics and informed consent seminars at hospitals across Malaysia.

Dr. Deboshree Ghosh

Dr Deboshree Ghosh

Programme Director, Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE)

 

Dr Deboshree has taught economics for 15 years, with a PhD in Economics and postdoctoral research in labour economics at Universiti Malaya. She researches labour markets and public policy, working with IDEAS Malaysia and policymakers.

Dr Sia Chin Chin

Dr Sia Chin Chin

Programme Director, Master of Laws and Master of Laws in Healthcare and Medical Law (LLM, HCML)

 

Dr Sia practised law in Malaysia, Italy, and Saudi Arabia for over 15 years, and researches public health law and digital regulation. She runs pro bono clinics and policy research with the Ministry of Health and civil society groups.

Dr Wilson Tay Tze Vern

Dr Wilson Tay Tze Vern

Programme Director, Doctor of Philosophy in Law

 

Dr Wilson Tay served as a judicial officer in the Commercial Division of the High Court at Kuala Lumpur, and holds a PhD in Law from NUS in constitutional law. He addressed the Malaysian Bar's Constitutional Law Forum in 2024.

Mobile Legal Aid Clinic (MLAC)

 

Operated by experienced academics and law students, the centre offers pro bono legal services on tenancy, employment, banking, insurance, consumer protection, and family matters for those unable to afford legal fees. Consultations are conducted via email and Zoom.
