Called to the English Bar in 1981, the Malaysian Bar in 1982 and the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1993. Active practice (primarily, litigation) at the Malaysian Bar for 27 years prior to joining SLG in 2012.
Dr. Jenita is an alumnus of University Malaya. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001 and subsequently practiced for 10 years mainly in civil litigation prior to joining Taylor’s University in 2013.
Mun Onn was a partner in a legal firm which specialises in both civil and criminal litigation before leaving practice and joining the academia. He has over 13 years of experience teaching at School of Law and Governance. He has also served as the Moot Administrator in the LAWASIA International Moot Competitions.
Marini was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001. She has 20 years of experience in both the legal industry as well as academia.
Suzanna graduated from University Malaya. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2005. She started her academic career in University Malaya, where she taught for 6 years prior to joining Taylor's University in 2013.
Dr. Tamara, who’s involved in research on stateless persons and refugees, professes in different areas of law which she also contributes research to.
Dr. Wilson’s experiences include chambering with well-known firms, becoming a research fellow in the National University of Singapore, and many more.
Dr. Jaganraj has published in various local journals and is very involved in research involving Constitutional & Administrative Law and Fundamental Rights. As a young academic he is keen in making a difference in the world through education and awareness.
Dr. Mogana teaches Tort Law, International Human Rights Law and Law, Governance and Public Policy. She has keen interest in child related issues and conducts research both in common law and civil law jurisdictions and has contributed articles on Family Law and Child Law to Japanese and Taiwanese journals and reviews. She is at present actively involved in research on education for refugee and indigenous children.
Prof Dr. Nik also holds the position of Commissioner for the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) from 2020 and a member of the Consultation and Prevention of Corruption Panel, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency from 2022. He is the Chief Editor of the parliamentary journal, "Jurnal Parlimen Malaysia" published by the Malaysian Parliament.
A replica of the courtroom, designed to simulate court environment and procedures to provide a more realistic experience for students when they practice in court after graduation. Mooting exercises are compulsory for second year students.
A community service space operated by SLG's faculty members & students to provide free legal advice to people who cannot afford to pay legal fees.
